Review

These two picture books are adorable! The first, with the dog, was our favorite but the cat is funny too (especially as she thinks she is royalty and the children are not respecting her orders).

Both books do a really good job of showing the proper way to play and take care of pets by showing all the things the kids are doing that bother them. But in the end, just when the dog and cat are fed up, the children offer cuddles and treats and remind the pets why kids aren't that bad after all.

They are very similar so if you only have one type of pet over the other, you could probably get away with just grabbing the cat or dog one instead of both.

Official Blurb: (According to Dog)

"The family dog has a LOT to get off his chest. Life with children can be . . . challenging. Between their loud shrieks, too-tight squeezes, and dress-up games, he can’t take any more of these little ones!

Except . . . he might have overlooked a few things, like head scratches, treats, and belly rubs. Is it possible they're not so bad after all?" - from Amazon

Except . . . she might have overlooked a few things, like gentle cuddles, catnip, and cozy story times. Is it possible they're not so bad after all?
