Ollie Must Wait is now available everywhere books are sold!

I am so excited to finally share Ollie with ya'll! I started writing Ollie a year ago after a friend of mine rescued a kitten and named it Oliver (after Oliver and Company). He was constantly trying to get her to play when she needed to work and thus, this little book about patience came to mind. To my surprise, my sister-in-law informed me a few months later that my new nephew's name would also be Oliver! I knew right then I had to publish this book for him!
Louie, the frenchie, is an actual frenchie belonging to my brother and sister-in-law and, though he is very patient with my adorable nephew Ollie (the human), he is less patient with his little puppy sister Coco (also a frenchie). I wanted to put him in the book as the older and wiser sibling to our adorably impatient Ollie (the cat...not my nephew. Not yet, at least).
LittleMan and I knew we wanted to hire a professional illustrator for this one and spent days combing instagram trying to find a Christian artist that we loved. When we came across Anna's instagram, Littleman picked her immediately. (I suspect it had something to do with how much he liked her dragon illustrations. Check out her instagram if you haven't seen them yet).
Anna did a fantastic job, even though this was her first picture book. I see a very bright future in picture books for her (including one we're already chatting about for next year! But shh, that's spoilers). We chatted back and forth a few times and I don't think we ever needed any major changes. I felt like she reached into my mind and plucked out the characters and then gave them life on the pages! I hope you and your family enjoy Ollie as much as I enjoyed writing it.
