My Cat is a Dragon is the very first book I ever wrote. I've always loved dragons and though I like cats, I am highly allergic and cannot have one. So I own one through my characters. I wrote this to entertain my son and to teach him about the Historical Scientific Method, which is the method used for studying my son's favorite subject: Dinosaurs. So using the historical method of the scientific method, Pete (based on my science loving son) tries to prove to the audience that his cat is really a dragon in disguise.
The artwork is clipart. I was taking a Children's Book Creation Class back in 2020 that walked us through how to use CANVA PRO to create picturebook art. I knew I wanted to stay far away from AI so CANVA was an interesting alertnative. The artwork is submitted by artists to CANVA who makes it available through the PRO membership and then pays the artists for the use of their artwork. Someday, I would love to hire a human artist to redraw all of Pete's story (and have in fact spoken with an artist with this in mind) but that's in the future.
Possibly Concerning Content*
I do not write pictures books with any negative content. They are playfully stories with good morals/lessons and are always written from a Biblical worldview.

Why do cats like to stare into fireplaces? Why do they steal all your pens to put into a pile? Why do they love laying in the sun? What are they hiding under the bed? Join Pete as he uses history, the Bible and the Historical Scientific Method to try and prove that his cat really is a dragon in disguise!
